The Role

Design Assistant (Part-Time/ Casual Contract.

You’ll support URR Design across both creative and administrative tasks, helping bring projects and brand materials to life.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Part-Time/ Casual Design Assistant (Contract) to support our growing studio. This is a remote, freelance/contract role, ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on industry experience, build their portfolio, and contribute during flexible hours alongside other work or studies, with potential for growth within the company.

  • Assist in creating graphics for social media, emails, client presentations and summaries.

  • Support layout design in AutoCAD and concept presentations.

  • Source products and organize visual inspiration and mood boards.

  • Help with packaging, product mockups, and print materials.

  • Ensure all deliverables align with our brand aesthetic.

  • Prepare project binders and presentation materials.

  • Attend virtual and in-person meetings and assist with note-taking.

  • Product sample pick-up and return.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in interior design or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

  • Open to feedback and eager to learn.

  • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

  • Local to Cochrane / Calgary is a bonus.
